Celebration of Our Mountains is the parent of CelebrateSTEAM. Those who sponsor and contribute to one sponsor and contribute to the other.
Both Celebration of Our Mountains and CelebrateSTEAM have been blessed with good sponsors who have helped with design work and printing. Their contributions also help with computer and Internet expenses. COM and CelebrateSTEAM are also looking for small donors – those who participate in our field trips and their friends.
Celebration wants to expand its advertising to other areas of the region. It also wants to promote the work of the other great outdoors and environmental organizations here in El Paso. At the same time CelebrateSTEAM wants to open doors for youth and adults by finding the scientific, technological and engineering gems here in El Paso. The Welcome page of Celebration of Our Mountains has a “Donate” button or you can go directly HERE. Small contributions add up.
This is what it says on the Donation page:
“Dear Friends of Celebration of Our Mountains, Celebration of Our Mountains has been introducing people to our beautiful part of the Chihuahuan Desert since 1994. Our field trips, hikes and mountain biking offer education and recreation. As we do so, you and many other people have come to value our natural treasures even more. Conservation and preservation of these treasures and ecosystems have become priorities. Celebration of Our Mountains is now expanding. The online calendar is becoming a place for all active El Paso conservation and environmental groups to publish their field trips and events – groups such as the Rio Bosque Wetlands Park, the Chihuahuan Desert Education Coalition, the Frontera Land Alliance, the Master Naturalists, the El Paso Cactus and Rock Club and more. COM wants to help promote the work and growth of all these organizations. In addition, we now promote “Geo-Ventures”, a program led by an EPCC geology professor, “Back by Noon” events of the Southwest Environmental Center (Las Cruces), as well as the programs at Franklin Mountains State Park, Wyler Aerial Tramway State Park, Leasburg Dam State Park (New Mexico), and the Guadalupe Mountains National Park. This is the second year of an Earth Month (April) program. As COM expands, it needs not only the sponsorship of businesses and other organizations, but individual gifts as well. Whatever the amount of your contribution, you will be making a difference for El Paso and our environment. Gratefully, Jim Tolbert, Director”
Your contributions will be valued and appreciated. Please make a contribution to CelebrateSTEAM and its parent program, Celebration of Our Mountains.
